Domain 3 is worth 25% of the exam — the single largest domain. It tests routing table interpretation, static routing, OSPF (the primary IGP for CCNA), and first-hop redundancy. If you're short on study time, this domain deserves the most attention. Every question you can answer here is worth more than a question in any other domain.
R1# show ip routeCodes: L - local, C - connected, S - static, R - RIP, M - mobile, B - BGPD - EIGRP, EX - EIGRP external, O - OSPF, IA - OSPF inter areaN1 - OSPF NSSA external type 1, N2 - OSPF NSSA external type 2E1 - OSPF external type 1, E2 - OSPF external type 2* - candidate default, U - per-user static routeGateway of last resort is 203.0.113.1 to network 0.0.0.0S* 0.0.0.0/0 [1/0] via 203.0.113.110.0.0.0/8 is variably subnetted, 4 subnets, 2 masksC 10.10.10.0/24 is directly connected, GigabitEthernet0/1L 10.10.10.1/32 is directly connected, GigabitEthernet0/1O 10.10.20.0/24 [110/2] via 10.10.10.2, 00:15:42, GigabitEthernet0/1O IA 10.10.30.0/24 [110/3] via 10.10.10.2, 00:15:42, GigabitEthernet0/1
That output is worth more than any diagram. The codes tell you the source (S, C, L, O, O IA). The `[110/2]` gives AD and metric. The `via X.X.X.X` is the next-hop. The `00:15:42` is the age. Read it in one pass and you know the entire router's worldview.
